I finally made Step 1 of my OLNF OC/MC, I'm still designing her Step 2 version & it's probably gonna take a while cuz I dunno what her personality is supposed to be lmao. I also changed her first name because I didn't like the one I gave her before.

I might make two more OCs to use individually for Tamarack and Qiu. Rosemary was supposed to be my only one, but I think I want to use them for the polyamorous relationship only.

The names would be Rosabel and Roy/Rory (not sure which one I like more)

All of these characters will have the same last name (Salmonbay) and probably will be a bit similar to each other. All of them are kind of like different versions of myself and how I would like to see myself kind of. But still very much fictional characters! They’re just inspired of myself q:

Rosabel will be for Tamarack and Roy/Rory will be for Qiu. Also, I am making few changes to Rosemary, which is mostly about her gender.

random rant, but does anyone else hate hyper-fixating over something??

i was playing this game called "i was a teenage exocolonist" over the summer. i spent 135 hours on it in about a week or two. then, all of a sudden, the obsession was gone and i couldn't find the determination to complete the game. it's not the same as when i had the hyper-fixation, no matter how much i try to get back into it. and let me say, i got 25 out of 29 endings. i was this close.

same goes for my old tiktok account (@rainesrants). i was obsessed with this webtoon, school bus graveyard, for a bit, but after the creator went on a hiatus for some time, i stopped getting into it. now, i can't even post a single edit or slideshow.

there's definitely a lot more examples, but obviously, i'm not going to list out every single one of them. it just sucks because i really enjoy all of these things, but it's not the same as how it felt before.

i'm worried the same will happen for the our life franchise. i adore both olba and olnf, but ive realized that i've started to play it less and i haven't been interacting with the gbpatch tumblr account or patreon as much as i used to.

side note: if you haven't played i was a teenage exocolonist, i highly recommend it. it has multiple endings, different romanceables with their own backstory (my favorite is dys), and you get to choose the gender of your character! it has stories that'll make you cry and laugh, the music is nice, and you can replay it as many times as you want.

i know i'm not as into it as i was before, but it's still one of my favorites!
